Annie Hales Sievers

Senior Associate

About Annie

Annie commenced with DLH Solicitors in 2016 and  is our Senior Associate Family Law and Collaborative Solicitor. She was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW in July 2012 and admitted to the High Court in 2013.  Annie also qualified as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in 2014 and is a trained collaborative practitioner.

Annie's Law Journey

Prior to Law, Annie obtained a B.Ed. in PDHPE in 1987, and a Masters in Sport Science in 1995. From the early 1990’s until 2004 Annie worked as a Personal Trainer and owned Personal Training studios from 1997– 2004 before relocating from the Sydney beach suburbs she grew up in, to rural New South Wales. In her practice Annie believes her work is Human Law because “It’s people’s hearts, children, money, identity and futures that I am working with.” The process she pursues with her clients is to ensure a matter is completed as efficiently, and humanly as possible, so her clients can move on to their next life phase educated, aware and strong. Annie’s passion is to ensure people are treated fairly and families retain as much normality as possible, in what are acutely trying times. This is what makes Annie an extremely successful Lawyer. Annie's training as a Certified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and Collaborative Lawyer have given her skills that enhance Annie’s capabilities to resolve Family Law matters without going to Court. It is a win for clients if court can be avoided, in terms of cost, emotional wellbeing and maintaining good coparenting skills, if the reality of court proceedings is avoided.

Life outside Law land

Annie loves outdoor pursuits, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and returning to the beach to catch up with lifelong friends and family. Having nearly raised four children Annie now tries to focus on her own pursuits and life balance and hopes to undertake more travel in the near future.
